So far I have been creating lessons around a YouTube video. For starters, I am having them make their own "poster" of the Elements and Principles of art and design, so that when I send a picture of a work of art, they will be able to do a "Response to Art." This is usually in the form of a 1/2 sheet of paper with 10 questions, but I am going to try to adapt it to Google forms.
I have been giving my high school students a Daily Question so that I can keep track of student engagement. Via Google Forms I have students answer a simple question like,"What have you done that is creative today? (not including the work for class) Students can also add photo of their creative activity. I change the question every time they check in. This has worked really well for attendance/engagement. What are some things you are doing?
As a retired teacher, I want you all to know how proud I am of the work you’re doing...each day you make a difference in the lives of your students. You might be virtual right now, but you are still impacting them in ways that will stay with them forever. Keep sharing and supporting each other...together you got this!
